20. The ultimate driving machine.
Greg and I have been seeing each other on and off for nearly a year now.
We were getting on fine, but things have run their course. It had to happen. It was actually a huge relief when he broke up with me over the phone.
“I think” said Greg hesitantly when he came through, “I’ve fixed your car”
He’s such a tease.
You really don’t want a close relationship with your mechanic. I’ve had several and apart from Greg, they’ve all been after one thing.
I’m giving everything a closer look these days. Relationships. Cars. Relationships with cars. I’m figuring out what stays and what goes.
If I was in therapy, I’d no doubt be encouraged to go back and examine them all to see if there was a recurring pattern that could be broken. It didn’t take too long to see where the trouble started.
