25. Limerence

“It was the worst day ever" Ainhoa says when I ask how she met husband Sebastian. The two newlyweds have pulled up next to me at the Auckland Car Fair.

They’re trying to get rid of a ten year old Mitsubishi something or other. On Friday they head for Barcelona to live, where they'll stay with Ainhoa’s parents while they get sorted.

Sebastian and Ainhoa both worked on cruise ships. They met on the Symphony of the Seas, a ship so large all of Kerikeri could live onboard.

They’re surprisingly calm given a sale seems unlikely at the end of the five hour stint. They don’t seem to be interested in much else but each other.
