About ‘The Full Catastrophe'
The Full Catastrophe - just in case it ever comes up at quiz night - is originally from the book ‘Zorba the Greek’ and it’s a reference to finding the beauty of life in the chaotic mess that it invariably is.
Inspiration for change came from all over. From the IRD who would quite like their money back. Again. From mokopuna who I’m itching to spend more time with. And from Bronnie Ware – an Australian palliative care nurse who documented the last conversations of 300 dying patients.
The clear message from Bronnie’s study and similar projects, wasn't that we fear death in our final moments, but that we're terrified of not having lived.
This is a real-time account of change, chaos and consequence. A place where I’m going to tell the stories as they unfold, rather than wait for an ending.
And there will be stories. There always is. One way or another. In my experience, bad decisions make for better yarns, so it’s a win-win either way.
The short version is I’m changing as much as I can. Possibly too much. We’ll soon know. The house and everything in it's going. Two suitcases are coming. The rest will unfold as it does.
Now, who doesn’t want to see how that turns out?

Start with ‘First of the Season' and go from there. That’s how they’ve been written Or not. Might be fun to read in a random order. Depends when you join +
There’ll be two posts a week. Maybe. Can we say definitely one post, probably two. Just to be on the safe side. +
It’s free. I’m sure I’ll think of a way to make something out of it later, I mean, hello? But we can worry about all that at the time.
